That doesn't means me, does it?

As I was looking over the sign up form (see the link at the bottom of this post) I noticed that most of these things apply to band, not choir.

If you are a choir parent, please still complete the form, but do not feel that you need to sign up for the summer activities like Band camp and parades.  We use this list as a way to contact parents with important information and when we need help at music related activities.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sign Up Sheet - Did you get yours?

We all know how it is.  Papers that our kids receive never actually make it to Mom or Dad. Or maybe Mom and Dad got the papers, but didn't fill them out.  Or then, did the student take it back in to class and give it to the teacher?

In an effort to bypass the "lost paper" syndrome, Music Boosters has set up an online sign up sheet!

Click the link provided and fill out the form.  If you have already filled out and returned a form, there is no need to fill out this form as well.

A Summer Band Snack signup sheet should be coming home with your student before the end of the year.  You can sign up on that sheet or here online.

Feel free to comment!

Thanks for reading.

New Prairie Music Boosters

What is Music Boosters?

Welcome to the Music Boosters site for New Prairie High School's Band, Choir and Color Guard.

Did you know that there is a Music Boosters organization at New Prairie High School?

Our goal is to provide opportunities and recognize the students of the music department (choir, band, color guard and twirlers) which are not funded by our school corporation, but are necessary to sustain a high quality program to participating students.  Some of those benefits include:

v     Help paying for Letter Jackets
v     Senior Recognition Dinner
v     Drum Major Camp
v     Cleaning of Robes and Uniforms
v     Annual Recognition Awards
v     Swing Choir Camp
v     Color Guard Funding
v     Musical Instruments for Band

Students and staff work hard for these opportunities and Music Boosters is privileged to provide them.  As with the success of any organization, our continued success depends of the participation of parents.  If all parents of students in one of our music programs would volunteer just a few hours each school year, our Booster Club will continue to grow and support our students.

Our primary source of revenue is staffing the concession stand during home football games.  Staffing is a fun way to develop new friendships while supporting out students. In addition there are several other ways to support our music students and we have enclosed is a listing of them for you to review and reference. We have divided our list of volunteer opportunities to include more parents.  The response this past year was very good.  Please give serious consideration to volunteering a few hours during the 2012-2013 school year.

Please check the other posts to see how you can help support our students through New Prairie Music Boosters.

Thank you.
